Five blinds in middle position means shoving almost every third hand: the equilibrium range is 56 hands, about 28% of combos. The table has shrunk to four or five players behind you, and the stack demands action now.
Push from MP, 5 BB stack
The base: every pair, any suited ace, offsuit aces from A5o, kings from K7s and KTo, queens from Q8s. Then comes the cluster players underrate most: QJo, QTo, JTo, JTs, T9s, 98s, J8s — at 5 BB these hands get to realise their equity, because a showdown is all but guaranteed and the dead money in the blinds is already comparable to the bet.
A curious detail of the range is A5o shoving while A4o and below fold: the five completes the wheel, and that's enough to tip it over the line. Exception hands like this are the strongest argument for training on the real grid instead of from memory.
What is still a fold: offsuit junk below the line — K9o, Q9o, J9o and the whole bottom like 86o. Even at 5 BB they lack the equity against the hands that will call you. Neighbouring stacks are on the 8 BB page and in the short-stack master chart.
